A template, not legal advice and not an official City form. Rules change: confirm current requirements with the City of Hollywood and the State of Florida before relying on it.
In Hollywood, a vacation rental needs a City Vacation Rental License on top of the state DBPR license. Applications are online only, with the City's owner certification form notarized and uploaded. The City's checklist also asks for Broward County and City of Hollywood business tax receipts, a Department of Revenue certificate and a Broward tourist tax account (not needed if you advertise only on Airbnb or Vrbo), interior and exterior sketches, a certificate of liability insurance and, if you aren't the owner, a letter naming a local representative reachable 24/7 who can be at the home within an hour.
Every license is inspected. The City's checklist looks for the informational posting near the front door, a noise notice in the backyard or pool area, exit signs, interconnected smoke and CO alarms, a wall-mounted 2A:10B:C extinguisher and a noise detection device that keeps 180 days of data. The DBPR and City license numbers must appear on all advertising. This bundle adds Florida's state notices on top.
