The free Adobe Acrobat Reader, on a computer, iPhone or Android. Our fillable PDFs are built and tested there. You don't need the paid Acrobat Pro.

Preview, Chrome, Safari, Edge and other built-in viewers can open the files, but they don't handle every form feature: boxes can shift, the hints that explain each box disappear, the photo boxes don't work and pages can print at the wrong size. If anything looks off, open the same file in Acrobat Reader before you type or print.

Click a shaded box and type. The Tab key moves to the next box. Hold the pointer over a box (or tap it on a phone) to see its hint. Save as you go: Acrobat Reader keeps what you typed in the file, so you can come back and change it, then reprint.

Some pages have a box for a photo, such as a parking sketch or an evacuation map. In Acrobat Reader on a computer, click the box and choose an image file; it fills the box. Phone apps and other viewers can't add photos, so on those you can draw in the box or tape a printed photo onto the page instead.

On US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 in) at 100%, also called Actual size, not Fit or Shrink oversized pages. Scaling shrinks every page, so postings and maps no longer fill an 8.5 x 11 in frame. The city packs and kits have a Print & Post Guide near the front that says where each page goes.

Yes. Owner Statement Workbook and How to Stock Your Rental come as Excel files (.xlsx). Upload the file to Google Drive, double-click it and choose Open with, then Google Sheets (or in Sheets, use File, then Import). Then choose File, then Save as Google Sheets to make an editable copy, and work in the copy. Formulas, dropdown lists, colors and the yellow input cells carry over. Excel's sheet protection may not, so type only in the yellow cells, or lock the rest with Data, then Protect sheets and ranges.

Right after you pay, your download links appear on the order page and arrive by email. Each link works for 72 hours and 5 downloads. Nothing ships.

Use Resend my downloads and enter the email address you used at checkout. We email fresh links for everything you bought with it, to that inbox only. Check the spam folder for an email from Code & Key, and if you bought with a different address, try that one.

A bundle is several products in one order at a lower price, with every file on the same download page. If your cart already holds every product in a bundle, the cart switches to the bundle price on its own. Each product is only ever charged once, and discounts never stack on the same product.

Yes. The order email is your receipt: it lists each product, the sales tax and the total paid. If you need an invoice with your business name on it, email codeandkeyco@gmail.com with the order number from that email.

Where it applies. Stripe, our payment processor, works out sales tax at checkout from your billing address and shows it before you pay.

If a file is wrong, won't open or isn't what the page described, email us within 30 days and we'll fix it, and if we can't, refund you in full. If you bought the wrong product and haven't downloaded it, ask within 14 days. Accidental duplicate orders are refunded. Downloaded files aren't refunded for a change of mind. Full refund policy.

It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription: the guidebooks it makes are files you own and can host free. It's a single-user license, for your own rentals and the properties you co-host or manage for clients; please don't share it or upload it to a shared skill library. It works with Claude and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.

Each city pack starts from the city's own code, registration pages and inspection checklist, and uses the wording the city requires, word for word. The source is named on each product page. The date it was last verified is printed on every page of the file and shown on the product page. The packs are templates, not legal advice and not official city forms, so confirm current requirements with your city before you rely on them.

We update the file and re-date it. Resend my downloads always sends the current version of everything you bought, so you can get the update any time.
