Questions about Pompano Beach Short Term Rental Pack

What documents does a Pompano Beach short term rental application need?

The City's application checklist asks for copies of the DBPR transient public lodging license, the Department of Revenue certificate of registration in the owner's name, the Broward County tourist development tax account, the Broward County and City of Pompano Beach business tax receipts, and documentation of no pending code violations or unsatisfied liens on any Pompano Beach property the owner holds. It also needs your standard rental agreement, an exterior site plan and an interior floor plan.

How do you apply for a Pompano Beach short term rental permit?

Apply online through the City's Camino portal. Staff review the application and assess the fee, and inspections are made by appointment with the 24-hour contact person. If someone other than the owner applies, include an authorization letter.

What does Pompano Beach require you to post in a short term rental?

City code § 153.26(E) calls for an information sheet with the local designated representative's name, address and phone, the maximum occupancy, a noise statement, trash days and times, the nearest hospital and the police non-emergency number. § 153.26(G) calls for a posted noise notice, and § 153.26(F) for an evacuation plan given to every renter.

What should the Pompano Beach floor plans show?

The exterior site plan shows property lines, parking spaces, any pool, spa or hot tub, where the garbage containers are stored and screened, and fences. The interior floor plan shows every bedroom, all exits and the location of the fire extinguishers.
